Plan Features

Which software options do you offer with your hosting plans?

We’ve got some very popular software options available on all our plans.
The software we have available is as follows:

  • PHP 5.3, 5.6
  • MySQL 5.1
  • Perl 5.10.1
  • Apache 2.2
  • Plesk 12.5

Will my website be compatible with your hosting service?

We support a wide range of popular Linux server-side application technologies such as Apache, PHP, Perl & MySQL. If you have questions whether your site will work just contact us on live chat or send us an email and we’ll confirm this for you.

Can I transfer my current website?

It all depends on how you’ve built your website. If you built it in an HTML editor, such as Dreamweaver or Microsoft Expression Studio, you can easily upload the files via FTP or with the File Manager from Plesk control panel.

Alternatively, let us take care of transferring your site by taking advantage of our free migration service – available for all new account signups.

Can you transfer my website?

We can certainly do that for you! We want to make it as easy as possible for you to use InterScot Hosting, so if this is something you want us to do, all you need to do is book a migration with us once you’ve signed up – we’ll take care of the rest.

Do you perform regular backups of my account?

Yes we do! Keeping your data protected and backed up is super important to us. Our servers are backed up to offsite storage several times a day, to keep your data safe, secure, and always accessible. If you ever need a restore all you need to do is submit a ticket, and we will get it sorted quickly.

Can I host multiple domain names with my hosting account?

You certainly can with our Enterprise plan and above. With these plans you can also create unlimited domain aliases and/or sub domains.

We also have reseller plans, which are perfect if you are working with lots of clients and want the convenience of a VPS but without the management hassle.

Do you offer email accounts?

You are in luck! We provide full email services, as well as webmail, so you can access your emails wherever you are, as long as you have an Internet connection. Want to find out more? Check out the hosting page for full details.

Do you offer spam protection on your hosting services?

Yes we do. We hate spam as much as you do. To control this we take a two-pronged approach: we use MagicSpam for edge protection and SpamAssassin for content filtering to help stamp out unwanted email and keep your inbox clean.

Can I upgrade my plan any time I want?

Yes, you can upgrade your account at any time through the customer control panel.

Where are your servers located?

Our servers are located in the heart of Dallas – an excellent location for great connectivity to the whole of the US as well as internationally.

How do I transfer my domain from my old host?

To transfer your domain you should log in to the website that you used to register the domain and update the nameservers to:


Once you’ve updated the nameservers your domain will be successfully pointing to our network.

How soon will my account be up and running?

Orders are usually activated within a matter of minutes once we receive the order.

I’m having difficulty with the ordering process. Who can I contact for help?

How do I know which plan is right for me?

Can I switch plans whenever I want?

Of course! You can switch at any time. We make it super easy to upgrade or downgrade your plan. For example, if you start with our Express Plan, you can easily upgrade to the Enterprise Plan when your site has more traffic, without any hassle.

Why do I need to pay for managed hosting?

There’s so many brilliant reasons to pay for managed hosting! We look after the performance, security and system updates, so you don’t have to worry about it. Plus you don’t have to worry about configuration – all you have to worry about is the design, and content!

Why don’t you offer unlimited hosting packages?

As the saying goes, nothing in life is free, or honestly unlimited (we may have just made the latter up). We provide fair plans, with reasonable limits, and let you know exactly what you are getting, with no hidden costs.

Am I able to upgrade my plan after I sign up?

Of course! You can upgrade your plan at any time. We make it super easy to upgrade or downgrade your plan without any hassle.

I’ve just purchased a plan. Now what?

Once your order has been verified and accepted, your new hosting account will be set up on one of our servers. You will then receive an email to confirm that your account has been activated and which provides you with your login information. At this point you can log in to Plesk control panel to set up your hosting services (files, databases, email, etc).

If you wish to take advantage of our free site migration service, please open a ticket to arrange a migration at a time that is convenient for you.

Billing Questions

Are there any hidden charges?

Our plans are all-inclusive and there are no hidden charges – what you see is what you get.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal.

What if I forget to pay?

If your monthly automatic payment is unsuccessful we will send you a payment reminder by email and you will have 14 days to settle the outstanding invoice, after which time your account will be suspended. Any accounts remaining unpaid after 28 days will be terminated.

How do I view my invoices and manage my details?

Invoices and account details can be managed from the customer control panel.

What if I am unhappy with your service and want to cancel?

We offer a full 30-day money-back guarantee should you want to cancel your account, however if you’re having difficulties please contact us and we will do our best to help resolve the matter. If you want to cancel after your first 30 days of service your account will be closed at the end of the current paid service period. To submit a cancellation request please use the cancellation option in the customer control panel.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

We hope you never decide to leave us because we would miss you terribly! However, as we don’t do contracts, cancellation is easy and can be done at any time from the control panel.
